Hoisin Chicken Rice Bowls take a quick 20 minutes to make from start to finish. Perfect for lunch or dinner, these delicious rice bowls are packed with flavor, color, texture and even a bit of spice!
ingredients:
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1-2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons sesame or canola oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8-oz. container sliced mushrooms
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-size chunks<
- White rice and sesame seeds, for serving

instructions:
How to cook Hoisin Chicken Rice Bowl
- In a small bowl, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, ginger and red pepper flakes. Mix well and set aside.
- Heat the sesame (or canola) oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 2 minutes, stirring. Add the mushrooms and red bell pepper and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until veggies are soft. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 6 minutes, or until meat is cooked through.
- Add the hoisin mixture to the skillet and heat until warmed through. Serve over rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds just before serving!
